We can also arrange for your personal or new car to be licensed and registered in Hong Kong.
What we do:
- Collection of car from port and delivery to customer car park.
- Correspondence and meetings with Environmental Protection
Department to arrange for exhaust emission and noise emission
approval or exemption if required.
- Correspondence and meetings with Customs Department to assist in
evaluation of vehicle.
- Booking of government inspection.
- Collecting vehicle and escorting through government inspection and
return to customer car park.
The fee includes:
- Collection and delivery to the appointments within the urban area.
- Engine cleaning if required for inspection purpose, use of trade-plates,
and covering insurance.
- Licensing and registration with Transport Dept.
- Supply and fit number plates.
The fee does not include:
- Petrol
- Government examination fee ($530 motor car/$320 motorcycle)
- Towing fees in the event of a breakdown
- Any fees in the event of a failure of the test and further re-test or any repairs required to pass the test.
- Any extra charges accrued due to any importation costs or port delays not under the control of Auto Dynamics Ltd.
It should be noted the Customs and Excise, Motor Vehicles Valuation Group, should be informed within thirty days of the importation of a vehicle by submitting forms CED 336 & CED 336A, for evaluation of the first registration tax (Auto Dynamics to supply forms).
You are advised to submit Import Declaration Form 1 CED 50 within 14 days of arrival.
Note: If the vehicle has to be exhaust emission or noise tested in Hong Kong this can be arranged by our company.
If you have been the registered owner & have lived in the country the vehicle was registered in six months prior to its arrival in HK, you are able to apply for emissions exemption
If your car is not brand new, we advise that you pass the exhaust emission test before you send the car to Hong Kong.
Documents not in English need to be translated & approved by the relevant consulate or equivalent.
